If there are only 8 analogue outputs, how come there are 5 output pairs available in the lower half of SaffireControl?

As you can see from the symbol at the bottom of each output pair section, the last pair (9/10) is the SPDIF Output. Also, outputs 5/6 and 7/8 are the same signals as Headphones 1 and Headphones 2 on the front panel respectively.
