Do I need wordclock to record from my ISA A/D card to my computer soundcard?

No, the digital output has a clock signal embedded within the audio signal. Simply connect the digital output of the ISA to the soundcard's digital input. The soundcard must have external sync selected as its clock source. For more info, check out the Digital Options technical article on this site.
