When the Saffire Pro boots up in Firewire mode (i.e. when it detects a connection to the computer), the power LED will flash quickly as shown here:



When the Saffire Pro boots up in Standalone mode (i.e. when it is not connected to a computer), the power LED will flash slowly as shown here:
