How does the 'overdrive' circuitry on the ToneFactory work

The ToneFactory is the only piece of Focusrite equipment with the overdrive circuitry in it. It works by generating lots of harmonics from a filtered band of the input signal and allowing you to sum the amount of harmonics you want into the signal. The bright button changes the frequency band sent to the harmonics generator.
