Can I use condenser mics and dynamic mics simultaneously with my Octopre LE? Will phantom power damage the dynamic mics?

The phantom power on the Octopre LE is globally switched in and out so if you are recording with condenser mics that require phantom power, any dynamic mics (that do not require phantom) that you are also using will be supplied with 48V. Generally this does not cause problems but we advise checking with the mic manufacturer first before connecting.

article I can hear hum when using a dynamic mic with the TwinTrak Pro. It gets louder when I engage the 'air' switch. Is something wrong?
Unfortunately this is inevitable - dynamic mics can be good at inducing hum and the inductor circuit activated by the 'air' switch will only make it more audible. Setting the impedance to maximum...

article Why do I hear hum when using a cheap, low-quality condenser mic?
The problem here is that the mic does not have a very high CMRR (noise rejection). The hum resulting from the phantom power circuit in the Octopre LE will be rejected by better designed, more...
