Pavett's uses Focusrite ISA430's to record vocals for the Great Wall recording

March 13, 2008 [Tucson, AZ] - Jim Pavett, owner of Allusion Studios, built, installed and ran the recording system used to record the Great Wall of China Concert. The monumental Great Wall concert is the first international pop concert to be produced at The Great Wall of China.

The Great Wall concert features world-class artists Alicia Keys, Boyz II Men, Cyndi Lauper, and Doyle Bramhall II performing their greatest hit songs under the magnificent grandeur of The Great Wall. The Great Wall concert has been filmed in its entirety in High Definition (HD) for network HD broadcast. To capture all of the audio at this historic event, Jim created two 48- track digital recording systems, which he flew out to China to build and install on site. For the lead vocals, Focusrite ISA430 channel strips were brought in. "This allowed me to capture the purest single possible while controlling the immense dynamics of these power house vocalist. Since it was a live concert, I only had one shot at getting it right and the ISA 430's made it possible." Once up and running, Jim had routed 192 channels of audio, which was then separated out to the redundant 48-track systems. The resulting recorded audio is nothing short of spectacular.
